About the Study

The Green Bay Road Corridor Transportation and Streetscape Plan process provides several great opportunities for residents to communicate what they believe to be the strengths and weaknesses of the community, and to prioritize what issues are most important for the Village to address in the near term and in the future. The planning process is designed to promote community involvement and encourage citizen participation. Community outreach is included throughout the entire planning process. We know that the success of this planning effort will depend on engaging our community. This website is just one of many ways you can participate in the planning process. Opportunities to participate at a meeting or workshop are listed below.

PUBLIC WORKSHOPS & MEETINGS

Several public workshop meetings are planned for the Green Bay Road Corridor Transportation and Streetscape Plan process.

Community Workshop #1 - Planning Workshop & Charrette - Thursday, November 29, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Kenilworth Club (410 Kenilworth Avenue)

A day-long Planning Workshop and Charrette was held early in the planning process to secure the community’s desires and aspirations for the Green Bay Road corridor. The workshop allowed residents to drop in throughout one day and evening and express their vision, values and ideas for the corridor as it relates to transit, transportation and character. The event closed with a presentation of the concerns and ideas raised by participants.

Community Workshop #2 – Concept Plan Review – Tuesday, May 28, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Kenilworth Club (410 Kenilworth Avenue)

This workshop will include two major elements. First, a presentation will be given describing the preferred concept for the design of Green Bay Road and the Green Bay Bike Trail. Second, the planning team will work with participants to identify a preferred approach to landscaping and streetscaping that may be incorporated into the street design.

Village Board Presentation – Date, Time and Location TBD

The third community workshop will be part of a Village Board Meeting during which the Green Bay Road Corridor Transportation and Streetscape Plan is presented and considered for adoption. Any input received from the Village Board will be incorporated into the final Corridor Plan.

Visual Preference Survey

THIS SURVEY WILL TAKE 10 – 15 MINUTES.

This survey will help us gather public input and will guide our policies and recommendations for new development and investment along the Village's key corridors. The survey is comprised of a series of images that will help us gauge the community's preferred development.

STEP 1: To begin the survey, click on the Play button in the middle of the first slide. Backward and Forward buttons are also available to help navigate on the sides of each image.

STEP 2: Rate each image on a scale of 1 (inappropriate/undesirable) to 5 (highly appropriate/desirable) by clicking on the stars in the corner of each picture. The survey moves quickly and is intended to capture your initial reaction to each image.

Please Note: The survey make take a moment to load.
